Bordering on Media'eval' 2

Service Description

This is the second of two workshops that can be taken independently. This one focuses on the use and elegance of mediaeval borders many of which contain elements that we use in Zentangle. Whilst I have not created any 'new' tangles for this workshop, we will also make further use of the tangle 'Eval' that I shared in the first workshop of the series. I will also share some of the comical, curious and downright weird things that are found in the wonderful art that accompanied the religious texts of the 13th, 14th and 15th Centuries. You will meet an unexpected friend too! Materials needed include the usual Zentangle kit, including White gelly roll. I will also use good quality watercolour paint and/or watercolour pencils or Derwent Inktense plus gold watercolour paint. Rather than producing a single tile in this workshop, we will focus on identifying and practicing different border elements so I suggest that you have a good quality mixed media paper available or your favourite notebook.
